So while AE was front and center on stage at the YAZ show last night [and again tonight] I was front and center on my couch watching Pixar movies and updating my new site. Because of my robbery the other month I lost a lot of files that weren't backed up, - mostly from the olden days of vh1/spin- but so far so good.
Mike Nouveau sent me this today... and also I will be guest DJing the 2 year anniversary of M this coming Monday with 500 other guest DJ's as well. This surely includes Jacksonn, Brown, a misshape and some dudes in bands. It will be fun. You must come.

My weekend was highly uneventful. I started cleaning, took a break, started, breaked, started, breaked... etc. Basically I took out my trash and got new flowers. BUT, I diiid introduced the wonders of the internet to Pierre in the South of France and took the kids for a long walk on new harnesses. Oh! and I also watched Spiderman 1 and 2 on the projector while eating ice cream.

Last night I DJ'd Ruff Club like it was 2006! I brought fake money and glitter and water guns. BUT first Emily and I took the gorilla out for some wine and cheese on St. Marks. We downed redbull and on the way to the LES I left my black berry in a cab bound for 110th street. I know this because Emily saved my life and got it back! Jake and Danzie were being all super adorable, Sophia Lamar was being all stylish and elegant and Danny was planning out our future as superstars. I had fun! I took pictures! Looksee! (ps I want to link Emily's new website so bad right now. But I have not gained the OK)

Last night AE got me a PIV pass to the SPIN magazine Albert Hammond party. It was packed packed packed. I was happy to see AE and Julian and Felipe etc... Agyness was super adorable - and while I had a weird run in with someone from my 4th life, I was pretty content just mingling... until the show started. Most boring 'new' music ever. I hate to be so negative about someones 'art' but I think it was well put when it was said.. 'strokes b sides' as in the boring ones they waited 500 years to release and only did it out of desperation. YIKES.

Lisa Paclet is coming to 'Merica - as she puts it... I am thinking a Lisa Paclet special party time for geniuses!!
I did not hang long at Beatrice last night. AE and I were craving pizza! Julian Gilbert did a good job of keeping me warm tho in the freeeezing room upstairs. I got a special present from him - a big print of one of his photos! This is big time for the future!! Nicholas Kratochvil is a great DJ. I got my job back today. Life in NY for now.
AE has a new party called LOVE+EVOL with Kid Indie from S2A who I ran into in Paris! I am going to DJ as a guest! Info forthcoming! Get excited!

I was so damn tired yesterday that the BBQ in BK I was supposed to go to I pooped out on. My sister did manage to get me out of the house and over to the Sea Port for some fat Americans/tourist sightings. All along the bridges and on the train there was some serious "homeland security" going on. There was a DJ blasting top 40 music that later turned into fiesta music. It was fun to see the kids dancing, especially the ones who could really get down - pop n lock- you know what i mean... but I have to say that there were a few fat white couples dressed head to toe in American flags doing some kind of wacky ball room dancing to this fiesta / Spanish wedding music, while the Mexican families consisting of 100 kids each were totally ruling the dance floor. I grew up on the outskirts of Little Argentine and I'm so pro it ese.
See photo for an example of how thrilled I am we put millions of tax dollars into fire works! Needless to say I got margarita and text messaging -ed (?) out and fell asleep just as the fireworks were going off. You see it once, you've seen it a million times.
